10 Reasons to LOVE winter

Against my better judgement I decided that instead of complaining about the cold today and how much I am dreading winter I would tell you all the reasons I am excited for it :)

1. WHITE CHOC MOCHA=Empty bank account...Happy Lacy...Warm fuzzies

2. As much as I love only wearing $2.50 flip flops from OLD NAVY all summer long, I love wearin my boots :) I wish I had a closet full but I guess for now I'll get by stealing Haily's

3. I love holiday movies!! The Grinch, The Holiday, Christmas Vacation, The Santa Clause (first one), A Christmas Story, and of course ELF!

4. Snuggling with my pups! After freezing outside I come in and lay on them for a quick nap.

5. Sitting by the fire, I know this one is so obvious but it really is sooo nice!

6.  Oh my GOODNESS Thanksgiving is in ONE week and ONE day!!!  I can't wait to eat so much food and not do A THING all day!

These are my Thanksgiving Pants! Trust me they are neccessary.  I am going to eat at least three times the normal amount I can't wait.  (Hmmm fatty? Maybe..I dont' care) And...MyThanksgiving pants aren't nearly this cute but if anyone wants to contriute to my Christmas you can buy them for me??

Joey Tribbiani: "Where's that Turkey?"
Phoebe Buffay: "Hey, those are my maturnity pants."
Joey Tribbiani: "Nah, nah, these are my Thanksgiving Pants"

If you don't know this quote, we aren't friends. :) jk

7. Glitters in the SNOW! I LOVE LOVE love when it snows really hard and everywhere is just covered in a blanket of glittery snow--so pretty.

8. Am I a bad person if one of my favorite parts about winter is watching people fall down on the ice?  I think I can justify it because I fall down all the time?  One time I went to grab the door handle on my car and slid all the way underneath my car feet first.  HAHAHA. And I expect people to laugh at me, if you don't you have no sense of humor.  I love to sit in the Student Center at USU and get a nice hot chocolate and watch when everyone comes in and their feet are wet and they step onto the slick tile floor....almost everyone does the little flinch-It's best when someone has books in their hands because their hands immediatly flail about to catch their fall.  I too have done this so its justified right...Also I would help them pick up their books.

9. I am so overly excited for Christmas this year.  I love the decorations, the smells, wraping presents, Christmas parties, 12 Days of Christmas.  I'm so excited.  I'm just lucky that Maddie is still so little to make it so much fun still.

10. It's almost time for a break from SCHOOL!!! YUSSS.

Trust me on the Sunscreen

Baz Luhrman - Sunscreen Speech
Ladies and Gentlemen of the class of ?9...Wear sunscreen
If I could offer you only one tip for the future, sunscreen would be it. The long term benefits of sunscreen have been proved by scientists, whereas the rest of my advice has no basis more reliable than my own meandering experience. I will dispense this advice now. Enjoy the power and beauty of your youth; oh nevermind; you will not understand the power and beauty of your youth until they have faded. But trust me, in 20 years youll look back at photos of yourself and recall in a way you cant grasp now how much possibility lay before you and how fabulous you really looked...You're not as fat as you imagine.Dont worry about the future; or worry, but know that worrying is as effective as trying to solve an algebra equation by chewing bubblegum. The real troubles in your life are apt to be things that never crossed your worried mind; the kind that blindside you at 4pm on some idle Tuesday. Do one thing everyday that scares you Sing Dont be reckless with other peoples hearts, dont put up with people who are reckless with yours. Floss Dont waste your time on jealousy; sometimes youre ahead, sometimes youre behind...the race is long, and in the end its only with yourself. Remember the compliments you receive, forget the insults; if you succeed in doing this, tell me how. Keep your old love letters, throw away your old bank statements. Stretch Dont feel guilty if you dont know what to do with your life...the most interesting people I know didnt know at 22 what they wanted to do with their lives, some of the most interesting 40 year olds I know still dont.Get plenty of calcium Be kind to your knees, youll miss them when they're gone. Maybe youll marry, maybe you wont, maybe youll have children, maybe you wont, maybe youll divorce at 40, maybe youll dance the funky chicken on your 75th wedding anniversary...what ever you do, dont congratulate yourself too much or berate yourself either - your choices are half chance, so are everybody elses. Enjoy your body, use it every way you can...dont be afraid of it, or what other people think of it, its the greatest instrument you'll ever own. Dance...even if you have nowhere to do it but in your own living room. Read the directions, even if you dont follow them. Do NOT read beauty magazines, they will only make you feel ugly. Get to know your parents, youll never know when theyll be gone for good. Be nice to your siblings; they are the best link to your past and the people most likely to stick with you in the future. Understand that friends come and go, but for the precious few you should hold on. Work hard to bridge the gaps in geography in lifestyle because the older you get, the more you need the people you knew when you were young. Live in New York City once, but leave before it makes you hard; live in Northern California once, but leave before it makes you soft.Travel. Accept certain inalienable truths, price will rise, politicians will philander, you too will get old, and when you do you'll fantasize that when you were young prices were reasonable, politicians were noble and children respected their elders. Respect your elders. Dont expect anyone else to support you. Maybe you have a trust fund, maybe you have a wealthy spouse; but you never know when either one might run out. Dont mess too much with your hair, or by the time its 40, it will look 85. Be careful who advice you buy, but be patient with those who supply it. Advice is a form of nostalgia, dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than its worth. But trust me on the sunscreen...

Debbie Downer

Anybody ever feel like they'll never get out of the PILE their buried under?? And as much as I LOVE making to do lists (seriously) I think the length of my to do list is the cause of my lack of motivation.

This Is It

Michael Jackson: The King of Pop. Last night I saw this film in theaters and it was amazing! Not amazing in the way a normal movie is amazing because it's more like a "show" or like a "documentary?" The film goes through all of the production and practice and hours of rehearsal that Michael was doing to get ready for his tour. The musical side, the choreography side, design of the set and all of the video and different lighting's and elements of the show- I LOVED watching the dancing side of things and watching all of the choreography etc. I don't know if I recommend this to see in theaters because I might have like to just rent this one but you should DEFINITELY see it!
